Came across a great article today about the ever-frantic economics of a University education. Lots of statistics and figures to mull over. Worth a read when you have a minute.
In 2005, young people (ages 18-25) in the US gambled $67 billion. Not in Vegas or online poker rooms, but on a betterment program called college. I gotta say, this article makes a lot of sense. I have a few friends that went for that art history major, only to land office jobs at the other end of the tunnel. I think its important to be a little more practical when choosing a college degree.
I wonder if most people who go with such impractical majors have some kind of game plan in mind.
