I read that article recently and am maybe a little suspicious about #7. That would be because I’m 22, finishing my bachelor’s degree this year and will be starting my career as a software engineer this summer after I graduate. I’d like to imagine the past 4 years was worth my time. I know software is a bit of a strange field where people like Bill Gates can drop out and do well, while others like Larry Page and Sergey Brin finished their master’s degrees as they started Google. I still think in that particular case it’s still worthwhile to get a degree.
Also, even I am a little confused by their classification of computer software engineer and computer programmer. Regardless, it’s still a cool list and I was somewhat surprised that postal service employee was on the list, who knew?
