Episode 40: Tea and Sympathy
Wed 27 Jan 2010 – 15.31

Scott is joined by Craig Ward and Lisa Edwards, English graphic designer/typographers in who are now living in New York. Together they eat ice cream, drink tea, complain about customer service, and discuss life as an expat on both sides of the Atlantic.
Sorry, this episode is unedited, and includes no theme music, bookmarks and, you know, editing. I may add that stuff in time, if there is demand for such (hint hint)

Just finished listening to this episode, and I have to say that I very much enjoyed it. It felt like just joining three good friends in their conversation about pretty much everything. Almost getting me to the point where I just respond out loud to for instance your point on the UPS website. In any case, I subscribed to the feed, and intend to listen back to your back catalog. And for it being unedited, made it even more like just a casual, impromptu sitdown. So I don’t mind that one bit. Keep up the great work!

Marc,
Thanks for the kind words. I’m going to try and post a glut of episodes leading up to my 30th birthday, May 2011. And if you want to be a guest, we can do a Skype chat. That might be a fun episode.

The episode was fine unedited; I didn’t notice at all.

Hey man, just got round to listening to this properly! Such a good thing to do and to have for posterity, no need to edit.To Marc’s point, it feels more intimate this way. Tea anytime.

Hi Scott, I thought I’d leave a comment after listening to your latest podcast. I love Craig and Lisa – they were very fascinating.
I love your podcast please keep updating and recording random moments (they’re the best episodes!). I agree it sounds fine unedited – if it means you’ll podcast more often then I’m happy! I like to pretend I’m also a twentysomething living in New York for an hour or so (I’m living in Sydney and dream of one day visiting New York). I stumbled across your blog a few months ago by googling “quarterlife crisis” (which I started going through 3 years ago at 24yrs old). I was very happy to download all the previous podcasts still listed in itunes and enjoyed listening to them. I’ve just recently figured out I’m a ‘shy introvert’ so while I don’t often talk much in a group situation, I love love love listening in to other people talk as it’s fascinating to find out what others are thinking. Your podcast helps me wind down at the end of a long working week.
