How to Save in college?

Filed under: Uncategorized — admin @ 12:00 am

The college years are usually the years when you’re strapped for cash the most. From having to pay for gas money, college tuition, cost of books and not being able to work many hours at our job, it’s easy to see why college students are poor.

Now, how can you start saving money in college?

Carpool: Since car maintenance and gas can be very expensive, it’s a great idea to carpool with your friends to school. This saves you time and money.

Books: It’s also helpful to take classes with your friends so that you can share books and study together. You can also look for helpful websites that allow you to rent books as opposed to buying them.

Food: In order to save on your grocery bill, try to use coupons as much as possible and only buy items that are on sale. Also, bring packed meals and avoid eating out as it’s more expensive.

Living space: If you can, live at home as long as possible or move into an apartment with some friends in order to split costs.

As you can see, there are some great things to keep in mind when looking to save a few bucks during your college years.
