Snacking Tips for All-Night Gamers
Wed 09 Jan 2008 – 22.54

In my 26 years I have spent many a night hour with friends (and alone) playing video games. It does strange things to one’s physiology — we forget to eat, ignore the need to sleep, tune out external stimuli, and somehow eradicate the need to use the bathroom. But since we’re not teenagers anymore, it might be a good idea to maintain proper diet and health, even when fiending a game to it’s end.
Check out this article about 23 snack foods that will keep you going without too much effort. Warning, this will make you hungry, so best to read it on a full stomach.
One of my personal favs:
Bagels and cream cheese. This combo is satisfying if you’re feeling more than peckish but not all-out hungry. You have lots of flavors to choose from, and you could replace the cream cheese with smoked salmon (above), or tomato or cuke slices sprinkled with a bit of salt and pepper.

Fujiya & Miyagi - Ankle Injuries
Fri 08 Jun 2007 – 10.33
Remember back on the last episode (jeez, I’m so behind) when I played the track by Fujiya & Miyagi? Well, now they’ve got a really cool video using dice as pixels! Definitely 80s inspired, as the not-so-subtle references to Space Invaders and other pixel graphics of the day will indicate. Check it out.
Totally reminds me of Summer Games for the Commodore 64

Is iTunes changing the way 20-somethings watch TV?
Thu 05 Apr 2007 – 8.33
Short answer, yes.
“At home my parents have Tivo,” says Mark, also at Illinois. “We kind of use iTunes as a Tivo substitute here, we all put in money towards a season, and then we watch the shows together when we get a chance.”

The Internet: Worse Than Drinking
Wed 20 Sep 2006 – 16.42
According to Ars Technica, a study has emerged citing how Internet usage can be just as bad for your grades as a heavy drinking habit. Whether that is true or not remains up for some debate, but the more interesting questions is “Is Internet Addiction a real thing?”. Of course, the answer is yes. Because we say so.
Considering I don’t drink, my ratio of drunken time to surf time is zero, but what’s yours? Take a read, share your thoughts.
